What is a sheet mask?

A sheet mask is a thin fabric or hydrogel mask soaked in a concentrated essence. You leave it on your face for 10–20 minutes so the skin can absorb the hydration, then pat the rest in. It is the quickest way to give dry or tired skin a dose of moisture, especially in Pakistan's dry winters and air-conditioned summers.

How to use a sheet mask

1. Start on freshly cleansed skin.
2. Unfold the mask, line up the eye, nose and mouth openings and smooth out air bubbles.
3. Leave it on for 10–20 minutes; take it off while it is still damp.
4. Pat the leftover essence in and follow with moisturiser.
5. Use two to three times a week.
