Under the shape they are the same material as our classic patches. Pressed over a whitehead, the hydrocolloid absorbs fluid from the spot, keeps it covered and stops you picking at it. There is no medicine in them, so they work alongside most skincare routines.

Do cute patches work as well as plain ones?

On the right kind of spot, yes. The shape does not change how the hydrocolloid absorbs. Like every hydrocolloid patch, they suit single whiteheads that have come to the surface. They are not meant for deep cystic bumps or broken skin. Shaped patches are made to be seen, which is why many teens wear them to school or out with friends. How to use a decorative pimple patch

  1. Start with clean, dry skin. Put nothing under the patch, no cream or serum.
  2. Place it over a surfaced whitehead. Choose a shape a little bigger than the spot and smooth the edges.
  3. Leave it on for 4 to 6 hours or overnight. It often turns white as it absorbs fluid. More in how long to leave a pimple patch on.
  4. Peel it away gently and cleanse as usual. Each patch is single use.
